Default And after Landwaster

A successful Landwaster Tournament gives us 5 players who have already completed their minimum 3 tournaments

Doug Melville - 0.14
David Osborne - 0.37
Andrew Ford - 0.43
Owen Horobin - 0.51
Jason Dickie - 0.55

An appearance at Cancon can improve their score by bumping out their worst result from the existing 3

We also have 8 more possible contenders who can qualify by playing at Cancon

Jon Willacy - 0.14
Greg Kelleher - 0.26
Chris Burg - 0.30
Alex Bell - 0.35
Brenton Searle - 0.50
Mark Haughey - 0.66
Bruce Bell - 0.86
Leigh Dunn - 0.90

To the other 18 that have played in one of the three tournaments this cycle - better luck next year in squeezing in the three.

Cheers

Default A Shout Out to those in the List Above

Just a reminder that the Fourth and Final Event in the Eureka Miniatures Magister Militum per Capitoline Territorialis is fast approaching

The DBA Event at Cancon will be the last chance for those in the list above to qualify.

Looking Forward to seeing you there

Default Just like Gregorius

A reminder to all the combatants on the list above.

In just three short weeks we will be handing over the 'Grand Maurice' when we crown the next Eureka Miniatures Magister Militum Per Capitoline Territorialis at Cancon.

Those on the second list need to play at Cancon to be eligible.

This is just a blatant bump post to get the MMPCT back into the active thread list

See you at Cancon

Cheers

Default The Grand Maurice Goes To ...

Doug Melville who's average adjusted score puts him in the top 10th Percentile

His name goes on the perpetual sheild and he walked away from Cancon with a brand new Eureka Miniatures Roman Baggage Set.

All up we had 46 players take part in the ACT DBA tournaments that make up the MMPCT circuit - 7 of them played in at least 3 tournaments and qualified

The end results for this select group:

Jon Willacy 20th Percentile
Andrew Ford 20th Percentile
David Osborne 27th Percentile
Brenton Searle 33rd Percentile
Jason Dickie 41st Percentile
Owen Horobin 51st Percentile

Doug, Andrew, David and Jason competed in all 4 of the tournaments.

The 2011/12 Circuit commences in May with our DBA with a twist tournament

See you there

Cheers

A big thanks to Nic for his generous support.

The best thanks you all can give is to go and buy something from him

Default 2011-12 Circuit Begins

Just a reminder to all those out in Fanaticiland that compete (or want to compete) in the ACT DBA Tournaments.

The 2011-12 Eureka Miniatures Magister Militum per Capitoline Territorialis circuit kicks off in May with the 'DBA With A Twist' competition

"The Reactor" - Where New DBA Elements Are Forged will take place on May 22nd in Canberra and will be using additional house rules to cater for Pavisiers (8Pv) and Relics (Rc)

See you there

cheers

Default Circuit Expansion

With the announcement of a 2 day split list format for the ACT Championships I am happy to announce that for the purposes of the Eureka Miniatures Magister Militum Per Capitoline Territorialis each of the days events will count as an ACT tournament.

There are now 5 events in the MMPCT circuit but the number required to qualify remains 3 events.

The Circuit is now

The Reactor - DBA With A Twist 22nd May 2011
6th ACT Championships Ancient and Classical - 12th June 2011
6th ACT Championships Dark Age and Medieval - 13th June 2011
Landwaster X - November 27th
Cancon 2012 - January 2012

I am looking forward to a big turnout for the first two events so that we have a crop of early qualifiers

Cheers

The first event in the Eureka Miniatures Magister Militum Per Capitoline Territorialis Circuit is just over a week away.

The Reactor - DBA With A Twist - Sunday 22nd May 2011

With 17 entries to date and an expansion of the circuit to 5 events we should see a significant increase in qualifying players which will make Cancon 2012's DBA a very exciting event

Cheers

Talking Act

I reckon I might just start handicapping myself ;-) I do have the figures to do about three Thracian armies.

Seriously, the whole Magister Militum is a great idea and provides a lot of fun. It's always difficult to make the choice between taking a known strong army, and one that's going to win a few Maurice points.

Your efforts to organise and run it are much appreciated David.
