I have word from Bob Beattie that Phil Barker has completed his revision of DBA for edition 2.2 and is taking no additional input. We'll have to wait and see how our various questions and issues were resolved. At this point, there is not much use in continuing discussion. I'll leave the DBA 2.2 Revision forum up for a couple days in case people want to review the various proposals and errata for future consideration.

Is there any word whether the revisions will be available for gratis download by those of us who recently purchased v2.0? Or are they going to only provide them in the complete rules set?

It sounds like the list of changes is pretty short, so it shouldn't be hard to just revise the 2.0 rules, either by penciling in the changes, or using the cut-and-paste text that will be created. (I put together cut-and-paste text for 2.1 and plan to do the same for 2.2. I'll put it on the Yahoo Groups site when I get it done...pending the official text of the changes.)

Or were you asking about how the changes would be distributed? Will there be an amendment sheet as there was for 2.1, or will we have to derive the changes by comparing a copy of 2.2 to 2.1? Bob, have you gotten any word on this?

All of Phil's comments were about a new booklet being published. I sent around the changes he said would be there. Also the 2.1 amendments. Should be an easy cut and paste. No amendment sheet for 2.2.

So we won't have to buy 2.2 if we already have 2.0?

That's not bad. I already feel 2.2x more confused than I did when I started DBA.

I'm confused. Where can I find the list of 2.2 changes? I recall seeing a couple of new sentence fragments, but they were in a form where we had to guess at where they were supposed to go. And now I can't even find that post (the message boards have been kinda busy lately).

If you'd repost whatever you have, I'd appreciate it.

*

TACTICAL MOVE DISTANCES

Hee, hee. That was funny.

No, really, when are the 2.2 amendments going to be available?

Bob,

Does 2.2 also include the 2.1 amendments? Are any errata from 2.0 corrected?

Or do we have to wait and see when it sees print?

Please don't ask Phil, he's upset enough with us already. I'm just curious, and trying to evaluate if it is worth getting a copy of 2.2 now or later...
