I am sure this has been asked before, but I cant find it in the search, so here goes...
(concerning light horse, or any mounted for that matter, limited to 200 paces in the rough) A stand of light horse moves 200 paces then encounters rough: can they: A: move 200 more paces into the rough, since they are limited to 200 paces in the rough and have 300 paces left when they encounter it? B: move no farther, since they already moved 200 paces? Thanks all, John |

The answer is B.
If part of the move is in bad going, the whole move cannot exceed the bad going movement allowance. So a LH can move 199 paces in good going and 1 pace in bad going, but not 199 paces in good going and 2 in bad going nor 200 paces in good going and 1 pace in bad going. |
