Post Spartan BUA

I am just starting work on a BUA to represent Sparta. I need to get a move on with this as I want to take it to the ACT/NSW Championships being held on Aug 19.

What I had envisaged is what I call the Sanctuary of Leonidas. Apparently this existed and it held the ashes of Leonidas. All that remains are a couple of courses of stonework. So I will place a lowish wall around the perimeter of the sanctuary, a small temple like building to hold the ashes that will be flanked by poplar trees and a statue of Leonidas on a plinth in front of the building.

Once I have finished it I'll post some pictures of it.

Default Images of the Spartan BUA

Here are some images of the BUA I built for my Spartans. As we all know Saprta was a city without walls. So I decided that a temple/shrine precint would work for my purposes. It is meant to represent the Sanctuary of Leonidas and purportively held the ashes of Leonidas.

The building and walls are made from 3mm cork, the columns are dowell, the roofing is moulded styrene, the trees are by Woodland Scenics and the statue of Leonidas is from Zvezda's plastic 20mm rage of Greek figures on a 20mm square GW base.

The Sanctuary being defended by Spartiate spear.
