Default Make Ready! - DBM in the Age of Musket

Our local group plays a lot of Make Ready!, a DBM based game covering the Age of Musket 1740-1865. The rules and army lists are free at: http://www.dbkgame.blogspot.com/. It is well thought out and has been playtested for several years now.

Sorry for drumming up this old thread ...

We've had some issues with our online storage space from time to time.
Just right click on the download link and select save target. If you just left click on the link it will probably not load correctly ... if at all.
If all else fails email me at ggiles@halla.on.ca and I'll get a copy out to who ever wants to try the rules and army lists out.

I should also add that Keith has developed a Horse and Musket variant of DBA for Make Ready! We played a 1-evening campaign of the Seven Years War based on the campaign system in the DBA book and it worked very well. We are going to give it another try in the fall.

For those who have been interested with the rules but frustrated with obtaining your own copy, I've established a new free file storage with box.net.

Please try the new links for the rules and army list and let me know if they work:

Hopefully soon we will have the DBA type rules ready soon to put up for download. In the mean time play 100 - 400AP games for something under 30 stands of figures. For me personally I find the musket period feels right at 600AP + with 50+ stands on the table. Big blocks of troops all moving in glorious lines ... brings a tear to the eye!

Download worked for me.

Nice use of photos in the rules to illustrate some common confusions in the DBx system.

Thanks John ... the document is still a work in progress. we've a few things to correct (upside down images) and more to add. This is our first draft at combining the DBM rules component and ours into one complete rules set.
