Default ThingsBand '07 at Warband!

Just a quick (and admittedly last-minute) announcement for the upcoming "ThingsBand" tournament at Warband ...

Announcing: ThingsBand '07!

Saturday, March 10th at Warband
American Legion Post #203
38th & Winston Ave. (Taylor Mill Rd.)
Latonia, KY

The latest in our highly successful "Rolling Thunder" series of tournaments, ThingsBand is a great opportunity for new and old Hordes players alike to sit down in a casual, relaxed atmosphere and crash their armies against one another.

Any number of players will be accepted for as many games as you want to play! Players are paired as soon as openings come available and final standings are based on win/loss percentage (ties broken by points scored.)

Any legal 15mm, 24-AP HOTT army is welcome, but several loaner armies will be on hand. Terrain will be available as well. Play runs from 3 PM to 7 PM, and painted stands and unpainted lead will be given away as prizes.

For questions about the tournament, feel free to contact:
Dave Zecchini (zekestrom@zoomtown.com)

Barring a major winter storm, I'll be there with my newly-won Splintered Light miniatures Leonine Army...

Guess Mike has never heard of revenge is sweet. Or of rubbing salt in wounds.

Hope to be there bright and early.

Being cats and all, I'm sure his army will get licked.

Loaners will, of course, be on hand ... those of you who did not get to see the 24 AP addition to "Winged Aves" will get to see the new additions.

*quack*, *cluck*, *SQUAWK!*

If it looks like a duck and it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, it must be...

Yes, but will you take the stronghold?

Dunno about that, but if it weighs the same as a duck, it's a WITCH!

It is with supreme regret that the Leonine army (still pondering an official name...) will NOT be bringing its "assigned" camp. We are in conversations with our legal representation as to whether we should take action on being labeled residents of a "Kitty Condo." Besides the obvious implications of and associations of "cat houses" and such, we feel that were we to agree to such a stereotype, it would not be long before folks began snidely asking where our litter box is.

The Leonine army would like to inform you that *YOU* -- its opponents -- are the litter. We don't play on carpeted "jungle jims", we don't chase rubber mice, and we haven't the faintest interest in tracking down catnip. No, we have other prey in mind...and if you'll look in your mirror, perhaps you'll see what it is...

Grrr. Get ready for Saturday...
