You may want to leave off the tower from the elephant, unless you are moedlling an army from after the punic wars. My understanding is that towers are only attested to after the time of Pyhrrus.

Are you ordering two packs of LH? You may want to order some extra LH. I've found an extra LH more usefull than the Elephant on some occasions. You could then build the LH general by swapping some figures around from the Cav command pack and still have a Cav general element as well.

Yes, the full complement of LH is a worthwhile option. If the figure packs then leave you with an extra pair of LH figs, you can set these aside to use with a Carthaginian or Marian army.

Just yesterday, I finally finished painting my Numidians. (no tower on the elephant, just a driver) After I flock the bases, I'll try to remember to do up some pics for Eye Candy. For the infantry, I used modular basing -- the Bd stand (15mm deep) fits into a 20mm movement tray to change it into a 4Ax. I have 5 stands of Ps, and 4 of them have an optional 3rd figure that can replace a removable square in the middle of the base to convert it into a 3Ax. This was a fun experiment in creating as many options as I could with the figures I had on hand.

Your army sounds great. My Numidians have been surprisingly formidable in games. I just beat a Hun army last weekend....an interesting matchup...my cavalry general made all the difference in that one! I also found the Numidians pretty fair against knight-heavy tournament armies. I went 2-2 with them in a tourney.....losing one game 4-3 to the winner of the tourney with his Italian Condotta army....and his single light horse element won the battle for him by winning 3 straight combats while flanked!!!!!! The combination of rough going troops and swift light horse is a good one! I also reiterate the suggestion on not using the elephant. The PIP drain often kept it out of the battle....but "Dumbo" did hold the line for me in one game against Early Imperial Romans...repeatedly turning back the attackers while flanked!

I'm a big fan of Simon Bargery's Early Libyan camp, which I think would be readily adaptable to Numidians.

Note that the link given by Chris has a link to a handy template to use in building this camp.

Leave the tower on if you want it! Numidian elephants aren't attested to before Pyhrrus anyway AFAIK.

Having used this army many times, I would go with those who say 'leave the elephant at home'. It is sometimes useful for frightening people, but you need lots of pips to drive the LH and Ps/Ax, so you can't spare them to move the elephant. The Cav general is great against light armies (Wb, LH, etc.) but the LH general is much more useful when fighting Marian Romans or other really heavy guys - he is much more mobile and harder to kill.

It's a really great army. Good luck.
