I'm planning to build a 28mm Philistine army (I/29ab) to fight against my Hebrews, but have a bit of a problem finding the right figures, especially for the 4Sp elements.

Some of Foundry's sea people figures look useful, but I generally prefer spearmen in less dynamic poses, so if anyone can recommend any alternatives, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks, Newline is a new blip on my radar...very interesting...

Their sea people figs don't seem to be exactly what I'm looking for, but I'll give some of their other stuff a try and see if I like their style.

For the heavy spearmen for my Philistine army I'm considering Eureka Miniatures' "100 Club" system, details at http://www.eurekamin.com.au/

Anyone else planning to do David vs. Goliath? :

castaway arts do a lot of biblicals - especially hebrews - they have a skinny style I like a lot.

Heh - I'm already waiting for some figures to arrive from Castaway Arts - and rumour has it that they'll be expanding their range of Philistines which currently consists of a single item, a chariot.

The figures from Castaway Arts arrived from Australia on Monday - and I must say they're very nice figures.

Highly recommended to any biblical fans out there!

I'm currently working on several biblical armies in 28mm. My plan is to get some people together and play the Old Testament as a campaign over a single weekend, inspired by the old 'Peanuts' strip where Snoopy plays 'The Ten Commandments' using hand puppets...

I'll definitely be taking pictures of the armies and games, so stay tuned!
