What a great name for a con with ancients involved. And I will have Spartans in my game.
This is Michigan's biggest all historical miniatures gaming convention, January 8 in East Lansing. See here for details http://members.aol.com/crafruso/spartacon/ I am doing a DBA Giant Battle of Gaugamala. Better than the movie 75-100 elements on each side. Three Persian commands, each throws own die. Alexander has three commands and rolls 4 dice, picks the 3 he wants to give out. He also gets a +1 PIP for his element or any group entirely of Kn or Cv that he is in. He gets an extra +1 for combat (so is +2). Once in the game he can add an additional +1 after the combat rolls. The man is great, remember. Is there anyone in Michigan who reads this group? Not a bad drive, on a good day, for north Ohio folks too. |

So, how'd it go, Bob? Sounds like a great idea for a scenario! That is just another one of the things I like about DBA...how easy it is to drop in scenario-specific modifications to give you the feel of the historical battle.
I couldn't make it as I was heading south to Cincinnati for our first ever CinciHOTTi tournament. We had 12 folks show and had a blast! My freshly-painted Hobbits went 4-0, but were edged out on points by Tourney Host Eric Luczaj's Egyptians... |
