I am proposing to any DBA enthusiasts living in Northeast Ohio the formation of a club to meet monthly/quarterly to play DBA (themes, campaigns).
If we can find 2-3 (besides me) DBA commanders in the area we may have something to look forward to
once in awhile. Any takers?

Yes, Sounds interesting.

We could use one of the Game shops if needed, either the Warzone or Gamers Haven. I think Gamer Haven has expressed interest in hosting DBA events.

NOWS hosts events every other Friday at the Warzone so that could be another option.

Feel free to contact me off line at jkasper@on-b.com to discuss options.

I grew up outside of Youngstown, though I now live in Pittsburgh. Depending exactly where you guys meet, I would definitely be interested.

I travel down to Cleveland every other month or so to visit my daughter in law school. PhilistineJim has a great group down there, and they have always been very hospitable. Please post when you guys are meeting and I will get in touch the next time I am in town.

Anyone got any idea of where we could meet that it would make it reasonable for the gents from Pittsburg to attend? How far would you guys from Pittsburg be willing to drive?

Well, like I said we can link up with one of the game shops. I would think that if we could set up like a Saturday or Sunday afternoon time slot once or twice a month the Pittsburgh guys could make the trek every now and then.

We'll do some research into this and then go from there.

The president of NOWS Northern Ohio Wargaming Society has perviously contacted the Gamers Haven shop about DBX events. I'll see if he can make some arrangements.

Cheers

I can only answer for me. I live to the north of Pittsburgh and can't really commit to anytime in particular (Softball and lacrosse season both coming, then tournament softball, then vacation...) I'd be willing to drive over an hour to the other side of Youngstown/Warren, but please do as you guys can for your own best interests and maybe I'll be able to drop in sometime.

Just post where you'll end up and I'm sure I'll be seeing you sometime. I played at Battle of the Crossroads last weekened and am seriously jonesing for a game of DBA. I've even solo'ed a few this week while being snowed in.

We have made the trek to Cleveland in the past and went to all the Nowscons until HMGS started. I think with enough heads-up time we can do it again (weather permitting!). Youngstown area is more conducive as it's closer. I really don't see a reason why we couldn't alternate areas either. Personally (me only) would prefer Sunday....I work every Saturday
