Post Landwaster 2012 - Canberra November 25th

It is not too Early to think about Landwaster - the ACT's Premier DBA Event

Sunday November 25th 2012 - Canberra Kriegspielers with Essex Miniatures Australia, Olympian Games, Mick's Metal Models and Hall of Ancient Warriors.

Presents

LANDWASTER 2012 - Speed DBA in the ACT

Venue : Austrian Australian Club - Heard St - Mawson ACT

Date : Sunday November 25th

Time : 10:00 AM for player breifing

Format: A standard open tournament - players use a single 12 element army against all comers.

Scale: 15mm

Rules: DBA v2.2 --> 2.2 will be the rules used for Cancon so we won't be advancing past them yet

The move and combat phases of each bound are limited to 3 minutes maximum measured with an egg timer.

Dismounting elements may do so throughout the game but dismounting cannot be a group move.

Cost : $15 with a range of discounts

Beginners Welcome - a wide range of armies is available for loan.

Prizes offered for 1st through 3rd in the open division
--> Minor Trophies - Major Placings Excluded from Winning <--
Junior Champion (numbers permitting)
The Executioner Award - Most Kills in a Single Game
The Magister Militum Prize (aka the Maurice) for the highest adjusted score
The Mithradates Trophy for Landwaster Veterans - greatest improvent in placing from their best previous Landwaster placing.

This is the third Tournament in the ACT's circuit of five tournaments for the Eureka Miniatures Magister Militum Per Capitoline Territorialis - one more try for those out for the main chance. A good showing at Landwaster will make the road to final victory that much easier.

Talking Army Choice

You know me... I always wait to the last minute before deciding what dog of an army to bring.. One of these days I will actually make a list of every army I can make up from the painted figure pile... it should make choosing easier.

PS - I hope David's Handicap System takes account of the fact Litters get all the disadvantages of WWg, ie. no bad going, can't contact enemy, cost extra PIP to move, but can't even shoot!
