Oasis as a terrain type - how do you make one you can move through?
Sandy colour base with moveable palm trees maybe? Anyone got any pics? SI2 |

(I just posted a pic of it in PHOTOS on the DBA Yahoo list, called "Oasis" at http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group...=gr%26.view=t) Somewhere at the bottom of that lagoon is an elephant that recoiled into it, after a long tussle between a couple of jumbos. ![]() [ July 30, 2003, 07:04: Message edited by: Paul A. I like the idea of the lagoon! Do you, or any one else for that matter, put much impassable terrain around?? Stuff like cliff edges on steep hills, ravines, quick sand etc, etc? GAZMAN |

Quick sand, eh? Hmm, hadn't thought of that one.
In my mix of hills, I have one with a small (about 2 linear inches) but rather obvious cliff edge. I always make a point of noting the cliff as impassable if I use that hill when I'm placing terrain. Once, recently, I forgot to mention the cliff's impassability, and my opponent happened to place a pair of Palmyrene Bow elements atop the cliff's edge. Now, I happened to have some of Aurelian's finest (Bd) nearby, who could have dispatched them handily, but ignoring my usual rule for that terrain piece would have been most unsporting of me. |

There is a nice picture of the Oasis I built for the LPIA Nomads on ebay. Look for graybear227.
