Default No, I think the point is proven.

Hat, its what's for dinner.

Don't Llamas live in big rivers? Like the Amazon?

Default Yes my point is plain to see thank you very much!

I was going to let this go, but perhaps I need to explain myself further. It is not the shaggy/non-shaggy or the size of the steed I'm on about - it's the mutant neck anatomy and smallish head combo of the SLM ponies - hence llama (joke, get it?).

Not remotely similar unless you're blind.
Next...

Note the difference between a real pony's neck and the mutant llama neck/forequarters of the SLM creatures. If you truly can't see the difference, you'll be pleased to know that there won't be too many horse miniatures you won't like.

Discerning, it's what you're not.

And don't they fit their riders well...

You can swing a cat in there!

Mutant llama sawhorses!

That's quite a knife that you have into those ponies!

They're not perfect, but the resemblance is pretty good. I think you're just averse to the taste of a good fedora a la nicoise.

Don't sweat it--I'm sure if you just had a homburger and fries, that would be cool.

Yes I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for them. It's not their fault they look so bad. And they have created a brand new magical species, so it's not all gloom.

PS 'homburger' - very good.

Snowcat,
the picture of the SL ponies & riders reminded me of a National Geographic article when I was a kid (back in the black and white days) of Icelandic adults out riding their very sturdy ponies.

That is superb wickerwork! I'm already set with several armies worth of Celtoid chariots, so I can resist those.

The guy riding shotgun certainly is a force multiplier though!

I'm pretty well settled on getting a mix of their Brit, Saxon, Irish, and Pict figures for Pre-Feudal Scots. Not in a rush for new lead right now though, so just putting the shopping list together for this army for whenever it's time for the next SLM order.

Great idea: I would do the same if I didn't already own their SRB, Saxon, & Pict armies. Great Dark Age figures!
