I need an idea for a quicky producable camp for my Thematic Byzantine army.
I see in the WRG Armies of the Dark Ages 600-1066 they mention that for each 16 infantry they had a servant with a light mule cart of tools and equipment. Also that the servants were responsible for entrenching the camp each night. So would a basic ditch and some Canvas tents do the trick? No time to paint the figures now! You could make a tent camp quickly by folding the right shapes out of cardboard. Then cover it with tissue paper coated with diluted white/Elemer's glue. Bunch it up at the ends to look like tent flaps. Dry brush a canvas color and flock the base. Hope that helps!
