So I'm working up a generic Southern/Eastern Africa Brit force for punitive expeditions and chasing those beastly slavers and generally showing the Queen's flag, eh wot... Indian lancers, camel mounted infantry, African riflemen, colonial militia... and I was wondering if it's worthwhile to have both a field gun and a gatling, or if one of the prospective Art (and the Lk) should be traded in for additional Sh?
While we're on the subject, are Copplestone broadly compatible with Perry? (I'm thinking of the 'Darkest Africa' range.) It would be lovely if they were - the Perry Sudan range is great for regulars and local auxiliaries, but naturally doesn't have European irregulars. |

I'm a fan of both guns and machineguns, the guns reach out farther and machineguns can fire every bound, so I like to take one of each. both of these are useful for taking on shooters in cover beacuse of the better range and for breaking up oncome lines of horde or warband. -Paul

I will second Paul's reply as I feel the same way, if the army list allows both of them.
