Default Returning to DBAOL

I have been trying to log on to this Forum for 2 weeks. I finally read the notice that said I had to re-register!

Do I have to download and re-install DBAOL, or can I just send an email to someone to activate my CaptainBlood profile?

G'Day Cap't

I think that you need to download DBAOL again as a guest then sent an eamil to Alexander to have your account upgraded.
Cheers

Welcome back cap'n, it was good to sink you a few times (did I?).

Anyway, email this guy.

I am enjoying the living heck out of the battles I have had with several players in the last week or so.

I've jsut returned to the forum today after many years absence and this is good news - DBAOL was fun - some of the competitions were massively enjoyable - winning with Libyans vs OKE was a highlight I recall

And it's now free??

Excellent news - might see some of you soon!

That'd be good Kaniska. Don't think I've had the pleasure yet ;-)

I'm trying to put together a campaign system that will allow people to create & run their own wargame campaigns but fight the battles.

It's going to be fairly loose so it can be used for any period and army.

Anyway, here's hoping ;-)

My only gripe is that extreme dice swings seem to be much more common than I expect in FtF games. Otherwise I still have difficulty with remembering the actual rules for each version. (I am currently playing 2.2, 3.0 and DBAOL).

Wasn't DBAOL something akin to "Credit Card Rape Incorporated"? I thought so reading reports on these same boards a while ago. this is what drove me away from testing the pay version of the game. Have those "problems" been solved? I would be interested in knowing that

Cheers,
Xavi
