Default Khurasan 15mm Chinantecs

Khurasan's blogsite is featuring painted samples of their upcoming Chinantec range, enemies of the Aztecs who aided and later opposed the Spanish.

This is an interesting expansion in two respects. First of all, it is responsive to army list options in DBMM and FOG, so there is hope for some new Aztec enemies in DBA 3.0.

Second, this is the second new offering from Khurasan in an 'Armies of the America's" theme, (along with their pre-contact Iroquois) which bodes well for more America's options in the future. Toltecs anyone? Or perhaps a definitive Olmec range? Maybe even pointy hatted Huaxtecs?

Chinantecs are now available, according to Khurasan's website. Woo hoo!

Whaddaya think? Pikes or Blades for those super-long, pointy things with the obsidian teeth at the end? I'm guessing Blades, since they were probably used in a slashing manner (according to Ian Heath), much as I would love the variety of a Meso-American pike army.

FWIW, the DBMM list makes them into 3Sp equivalents.

I've already ordered some (but they haven't crossed the big ditch yet).

Based on the DBMM list, I thing the army will be something like

1 x 4Bw (Gen), 1 x 4Bw or 3Sp, 6 x 3Sp, 1 x 3Sp or 2Ps, 3 x 2Sp.

Yep, I just put in an order for some too. --Here's hoping the Chinantecs make the rumored DBA 3.0.

Thanks guys, glad you like them. I don't think there is a list for them, but if and when DBA is reconciled with DBMM I guess there will be. (I don't want to start anything by saying that!)

...and still waiting. The Libyan no fly zone doesn't extend over the Atlantic, does it?
