The battles continue with Lysimachos invading Greece. While Demetrios secures a costly victory on the coast Lysimachos reforms and advances on the town of Pleione. Here Lysimachos secures a major victory of Antigonid forces.

Hi Keith,

Nice report. Good to see that you are back gaming after the earthquake. Are you playing at NatCon and if so DBA or DBR?

Cheers,

Hi,

We actually had a 5.3 aftershock just over an hour before this game. You know where we rushed to!

Our son is down from Auckland so there will be a few more games in the next week. He deserved to win this game so is spoiling for a refight.

With respect to Natcon I'm the playing umpire for DBA and DBR. DBA is on Easter Friday and DBR on Easter Saturday & Sunday.

Hi Keith,

The aftershocks keep on coming. Still no resolution regarding our belongings, but the Accor people keep us updated on a regular basis. Is NatCon always held in the South Island? It looks to be one worth travelling to. If it is always over Easter then I can combine it when the flying happens at Omaka.

Cheers,

Hi,

There seems to be a bit of additional damage from the latest large aftershock. The smaller ones are in the background. This one was very much like the ones on the 22nd which you felt. They are however draining.

With respect to Natcon...

Natcon is always at Easter. It however moves around the country. Typically one in three years it is in Christchurch. The rest of the time in the North Island.

The games offered depend on the people willing to umpire. So some systems are always on offer while others are not. Last year DBA was run as a special themed event in 25mm scale in Wellington. This year DBA is in 15mm as a one day competition. Currently we are at 11 players, which is lower than I expected. Many people have clearly taken the decision of a holiday away from Christchurch is a good idea!
