Iv/6 Syrian 1092-1286 Ad

Still more Muslims for my late crusades. Honestly, I won't paint another Crusade related army before long (say three week )

here they are, they will share the infantry with the Ayyubid gang painted earlier. For some reason, I have attempted to paint them in a more plain style than the Egyptians.

Very very nice...keep them coming. I am impressed with your ability to continue to paint such a dynamic looking army. I usually get demoralized in the middle and come back to it after I have painted something else. It took me years to finish my Persians....then they just got done. Way to go.

Superb paint job, 6-28!
One thing that catches my eye are the flags: Patterns look ok to me, but I would try to give them a more "natural" position. Fabric attached to a pole usually hangs down and even in the wind the flying end of the flag is at a lower position than the fixed end. I would also try to give them a more curly look:

thanks, Maerk, how would you do that? Is it possible with paper flags? I humidify them with white glue and give them a bit wavy shape (picture flattens them). I do not know how to make them hanging down

Wrap them alternately around a thin round stick back and forth to get the look

As for flags, I think they look good on those figs; they'd be moving fast enough to justify their straightness... But, it's possible to have them wavy or even hanging down. You just have to fold them to make them wavy, and fold/curve them in a downward direction to make them hang. I did it with my Persians' paper banners.
