Default recoiling double based elements

Sry Guys - noob question
when recoiling an ex-dbm mandatory double dpth element in dba, does the element recoil it's entire double base depth or just the depth of a single base.

60mm deep Kn recoils 60mm or 30mm?

Cheers
Deon

Hi Deon,

A recoiling element moves its base depth (width if less) to its rear without turning.
So your double base element will recoil 40mm (in 15mm)

Ahhh! I've yet to upgrade to 2.2 and didn't notice the reference to this in WADBAG

Thankyou Martyn!

deon

Just charge them into the front of my double based Bw element. That way neither of us will have to worry about recoil distances.

If you are going to the Sussex Shield you are on a steep leaning curve, practically vertical.

Good luck.

Yes, but we will help him, even if we do beat him.
And I have learnt things in the past there.

'Double based' is ignored for all purposes except basing, so a DBE will pass through or be passed through in exactly the same way as a single based element.....eg mounted recoil through all except Pk and El (from memory...??) etc etc
Foot don't normally recoil through Ps, regardless of basing. Ps WILL recoil through a DBE foot element.
