Default My BBDBA Numidians

Hi All

I am going to expand my Numidian DBA army into a BBDBA army, and I would like some figure information please.
My DBA Numidians are all Chariot miniatures however, I need more variations in the stances of my troops and I am wondering how compatable Corvus Bellie and Old Glory Numidians will be with my Chariot figures?.
I have a Pict army in Old Glory figures but this dose not tell me a great deal about compatability, only that the figures are more or less the same hight, can anyone please help with information?

Kind Regards.
Adrian.

I have not found too many figure comparison pages for Ancients, but plenty for other periods. For what its worth, here is one from the Fanaticus vault anno "way back".

http://www.umiacs.umd.edu/~kuijt/mis...figreview.html

I know from experience, Old Glory will send appropriate size ponies for their light cavalry, but that still does not address the question of compatablity.

I have Essex 15mm Numidian cavalry and skirmishing foot and these are slender than my Old Glory ancients.

I happily mix Corvus belli & Chariot/Magister Militum numidians in the same force (have a large FoG Numidian army) and though I don't mix the two on the same base I do happily let bases of each stand next to each other. Of the 2 I prefer the CB sculpts esp for the imitation legionnaries but the Cartho citizen infantry (4Ax) in my ally late carthos are better by MM. I wouldn't mix them say with Xyston or Warmodelling as these are bigger figures by far - and don't forget, as suggested above, to consider an ally, such as poly Romans or late carthos, for a bit more heavy infantry & cavalry

Hi Phil and vodnik thank you for the reply's I would not mix the figures on the same bases Phil but will run them side by side, so far I am looking at Corvus Belli and Old Glory minies to compliment my Chariot Numidians and also I may look at Essex Numidians as well.

Kind Regards.
Adrian

I have a Numidian army. Originally 1.0 list with Chariot minis. Added more Corvus Belli horse when upgrading it to 2.0. CB are a little bigger but I think they mix fine. You may or may not want to put them on the same stand, salt to taste.

I also have OG Numidians in OG Roman armies. I would not mix these with Chariot, they are just way too hefty in comparison.

Was just playing the Numidians in a couple of games at the club yesterday. Such a fun army, I bet Big Battle would be fun too!

Hi Redwilde

I have been thinking of adding CB figures to my Chariot Numidians for a while now, I already have some OG figures and you are right they are a lot bulkier than Chariot, thank you for the input I also think the Numidians are great fun to play

Kind Regards.
Adrian.

I'm not sure about the sizes compared to other figures, but the Xyston sculpts are great. A bit pricey, but the best on the market in my opinion.
