Well I took delivery of my new Xyston Iberians today, got the package open and started to check my figures, first thing was I only got 2 poses of Scutarii and both of these were wearing the same helmet
then to my dismay I found that in my light cavalry pack, 3 from the 4 figures were the same pose! and the 4th only had one leg this is not on realy. I have sent an e-mail to Xyston about it, and also re'orderd more scutarii with my Pay-pal but I can't help feeling badly done to to be honest!. ![]() Rant over! Regards. Adrian. |

I had a similar experience but they did fix the problem when I told them about it. I bought a pack of Numidian cavalry and two of the four horses had fewer than the regulation number of legs. I emailed them and they sent me a new pack.

Xyston can be good or iffy, but they are good at sorting out problems.
The main thing I have against them is drilling out hands, unfortunatly this seems a route a lot of manufacturers are going towards. David Constable

Hi Guy's
Thank you for the reply's David and Denis, I have sent the money for the replacement packs and am waiting to see what sort of a responce I get. David your right about drilling the hands out it is a pain, I also have Xyston Kappadokians, and while I was getting them ready to paint up the drilling of the hands was an absolute nightmare ![]() Kind Regards. Adrian. |

I must be one of the few people who prefer to drill out hands and replace spears with wire. While I think Xyston are a little large, at least drilling is a snap. |

Large is a slight understatment, I would call them small 25mm. ![]() David Constable

For drilling, I use a small electric drill from Hobbycraft. I find it even more accurate than hand drilling as long as the drill is sharp.
For many figures, such as pikemen, they can be held in a rubber lined vice so that half a dozen can be drilled in about thirty seconds. For some figures I also find it handy to hold the figure in pliers while I drill but normally I don't bother. I've been generally lucky with Xyston though I suppose I haven't bought that many from them since Scotia took over.
