I can bring two 30" boards as well....I teach until noon on Thursdays this semester, but it sounds like a "group work" day for the second half of class so its an early out for the intrepid professor!

I don't think it is a good idea to start so early... 3PM on the day before the Con. When the person who requested it can't get there early enough it doesn't seem right.

It would be better opposite Warbandia, or the Friday evening blind deployment event or Saturday morning opposite Matched Pairs... please pick one of those slots.

Sign-Up Sheets for all events will be at the DBA HQ Table.

For all DBA events, rules will be 2.2+. Armies will be DBA 2.2.

All army options must be chosen prior to beginning of event and not changed. All games in 15mm unless otherwise noted.

Players should bring their own terrain but some communal terrain will be available; all battlefields are provided. Players must show up at events 15 minutes prior to the posted start time for assignments.

Rules: DBA 2.2+, 15mm, 4 rounds, 30” boards.
Eligible armies must have 6 Warband minimum. No Elephants permitted.

Friday:

Big Battle DBA Doubles
10AM – 6PM
Rules: BBDBA 2.2+
15mm, 30”x60” boards, 3 rounds plus Finals.
Eligible armies: Any BBDBA 2.x army with legal allies.
Teams of two players face-off in Big Battle DBA games. Each team must bring own armies and terrain. First round historical matchups or placement in groups of contemporaries if possible.

ARS MILITARIS
7PM-11PM
Rules: DBA 2.2+, 15mm, 30” boards.
Eligible armies: Book II armies from the Classical Age.
A theme tournament featuring Book II armies and double-blind deployment. In many of the great battles of the classical age, army commanders planned their battles in advance, settling on their troop formations and strategy prior to armies taking the battlefield, This tournament attempts to simulate that by use of double-blind deployment, in which players set the battlefield per normal rules, and then deploy their armies simultaneously separated by a vision-obscuring screen.

Midnite Madness
11PM to midnight and beyond!
Rules: DBA 2.2+, 15mm, 30” boards.
Single elimination, losers go to bed, winners advance. Unfinished games scored as loss for both participants. Players bring own armies and terrain.

Saturday:

DBA Matched Pairs
9AM – 1PM
Rules: 2.2+, Any scale, 4 rounds, 30” boards.
Eligible armies: Pairs of historical enemy DBA 2.x armies. Armies can use any figure scale and any valid DBA 2.2+ basing (15mm, 25mm, Hybrid, etc.), but both armies in a pair must use the same scale and basing with appropriate board size.
This event is the traditional Matched Pairs format. Players bring one historically matched pair of armies. Each player will use his armies for two rounds, and their opponents' armies for two rounds.

DBN – De Bellis Napoleonicis Tourney
9am – 1pm
15mm, 30 inch boards.

A Two David's DBA Campaign Theme Event based on the fall of Assyria.
It is 616 BC and the once-mighty Assyrian empire is threatened by many enemies from without (and as usual, from within). Mighty Shinsharishkun remains as Emperor, but has been unable to defeat Nabopolassar and deal with the "Babylonian problem", even worse now the Medes have freed themselves from Assyrian domination and the Skythians are casting covetous eyes on the cities of Assyria. Every Assyrian General is needed, yet any one of them, should he be successful, might declare himself the rightful Emperor and overthrow Shinsharishkun. What is to be done?!? Impale them all, Shinsharishkun declared, although his courtiers weren't sure if he meant his enemies or his generals.
