Today I fought a 2.2+ battle solo. Early imperial Romans versus Ancient British. I commanded the Romans. I was utterly defeated!
![]() What made me send my Legionaires (Blades) against the Celtic warband who were on a steep hill , whilst my Auxilary cohorts marched about being harresed by chariots and British light horse (who had already put pay to my Roman cavalry!I think I need to re-read the rules

But, the great thing about being utterly defeated in a solo games is ... yep, you get to utterly defeat yourself.

I wouldn't be too upset if I were you. I've heard this Cromwell bloke you played is pretty good, so its no shame to lose to him.

Don't be too upset.Even the Romans had their fair share of unlucky commanders. Just right your army off as the unlucky ninth caught in inclement weather.
