Default General news from the Yahoo DBA group

Obtaining DBA 2.2

Good news for those who still want to buy DBA 2.2

John Curry will produce it (and possibly DBA 1.0 as well) in a new publication expected this autumn.

I HOPE DBA 3.0 will be ready before then, but it's a hope rather than a certainty. Phil is working very hard but things keep happening to slow it down.

For those not familiar with John Curry, he is the principal behind Wargaming.Co, which promotes the wargaming hobby in part by republishing classic wargames rules and books. Among his current offerings is WRG 6th edition, as well as most of the early classics of wargaming by Donald Featherstone, Phil Grant, Tony Bath, Paddy Griffith, Joseph Morschauer, Charlie Wesencraft, Brigadier Peter Young, Fletcher Pratt, Fred Jane and others.

Does anybody know if this is likely to include the army lists?

Even before Phil removed the 2.2 .pdf from his website, it was pretty useless for anyone without a hardcopy of the book since it didn't have the army lists. It was pretty clear that Phil never wanted new players to be able to play 2.2.

Speaking to John Curry some months ago he was not sure if it would include the campaign rules or army lists, he was trying for a full copy though.

It was intended to be all editions from 1.0 to 2.2, including those versions on amendment sheets.

And why not! Superb product, even if I say so myself.
