While not a fan of DBM, I've enjoyed perusing Bernd Lehnhoff's DBM to DBA army conversions...lots of food for thought.
I fought SRB's vs Saxons this morning using 2.2+b & found it interesting how this conversion & the new rules interacted. The Sub Roman British consisted of: 1KN*(our Arthur), 1 CV, 1 LH, 1 PS, 4 SP & 4 AX (I used my Irish Black Shields). Three* - Two, British win. Under 2.2+ my right wing, the speedy 4xAX, extended the Saxon left in a pronounced fashion despite a all too typical WB QK of 2 SPs on that flank. I recommend that Late Roman & Dark Ages fans take a glance at these armies. http://www.fanaticus.org/DBA/armies/dbmdbabk2.html |

Thanks Ammianus - I can't understand why I haven't seen these before! I should look round the files again - I just skim the forum these days.
These lists are quite refreshing to my completist/compiler personality fragment! I like my DBA to mix and match with army lists and these are more grist to the mill. Wow Ammianus - we joined at the same time and you have written 600 more posts than me! Writer's cramp?! Last edited by Crocus; 07-14-2012 at 11:15 AM. Reason: gobsmacked! |

Crocus, "Idle hands are the devil's workshop."
Alternatively, I'm not so smart, so I've had to ask a lot of questions on here.
