Default Winning and Losing

Question: You have only lost one element, your opponent has not lost anything yet. Then you lose your general. Game over?

"A side is defeated and must immediately flee off the battlefield if, at the end of any bound, any of the following apply:
It has lost its commander-in-chief, and has also lost more AP than the other side."

Seems pretty clear to me. Game would also be over if you lost your General as the first element lost.

In answer to the original question, yes, in HoTT it all over.

FYI in DBA v3 the loss of a General counts as an extra element lost which contributes to the 4 needed to lose but does not have the potential immediate effect unlike 2.2.

Of course, the game's not actually over till the end of the bound, so you still need to play out any remaining combats between elements in contact.

For example, if you lost a 2AP element in a previous bound and you lost your 2AP general this bound, you still have a chance to remain in play if you can destroy (or force to flee off the board) at least 4 AP of your opponent's elements in this bound.

Yes game over, general and more elements, it has happened a few times in UK competitions, including myself at Penarth.

I have lost a game when my general had been killed but I had lost fewer AP than my opponent, but in his bound he brought Hordes back on, pushing his casualty total below mine. Something of an anti-climactic way to lose a game
