Default Introduction to DBA

I have been meaning to post pictures from this for a LONG time... and just today I noticed the pictures again and decided to make sure to do it!

We hosted a 2.2+ Introduction to DBA last summer at Historicon 2013 during two separate (4 hour) sessions. Chris Brantley and Terence McPartland handled the majority of the work and welcomed the new players. DK made the map of England which has been mentioned in other threads on the forum. We had so many people stop by to play 2.2+ that we lost count, and we had some people play over and over and over again.

The best part was at the same time we were running our Embattled Isles 2.2+ scenarios, which calls for 14 players. So we had two amazing 2.2+ events going at the same time. I was escorting newbies from the Introduction event over to see the completely awesome scenarios event in play. It was the perfect situation to encourage new DBA gamers.

We will be doing similar events in the future, probably again at Historicon this Summer!

Here are the pics...

Default Map

Looks like you must have got the map of the UK from the BBC, with Scotland shrunk to less than 50% of actual size ;-)

Yes, we are definitely planning to do a similar event at Historicon 2014! We have several additional ideas to try out in an effort to get more people into the hobby and DBA.
