Hmm...end of May, this time around? Who knows? Maybe I'll be hired by a school district by then and can come down to celebrate!

Default Prize support news

The prizes for this year's Nashcon DBA events are looking great! Paul Potter has painted up a prize army for the open tournament. I believe he chose a Roman army to paint, but as for which time period, we will have to let that be a surprise (for now at least). Baxter at Wargames donated the Essex figures, and I am sure will allow me to select an unpainted army as a runner up prize as well, as his generosity in the past has been overwhelming.

I just heard from David McBride at Splintered Light Miniatures this morning, and he has agreed to provide prizes as well. Last year's prizes from Splintered Light were amazing, so keep an eye on his website. He tells me that the Irish have arrived and that the Picts are in the works. Can wait to see those!

See you at Nashcon,

David

Two weeks and counting till Nashcon! The DBA group in Nashville has been growing in leaps and bounds so I hope to have a great turn out for the tournament. We have two this year: Bill banks is running a Punic War themed tournament Friday night with all armies provided, but you are welcome to bring your own from the approved list. Saturday night will of course be the 15mm DBA open tournament. Of the local guys; here is who I am expecting to be there, but please let me know if you plan on making the tournament and I'll add your name to the list or take off the question mark: Let me know if you are coming in from out of town as well.

Paul Potter
Terry Webb
Ron Seaney
Ed Dillon
Bill Banks
Bob Gunter
Benjamin Smith
Chris Ward?
Erik Chance
Joe Collins?

You can take the "?" off of my name (Erik Chance). I've got an all-day wife-pass for Saturday. :-D

I'll be there. Lots of dba-ish stuff planned. The 2 tourneys are already mentioned.
Friday night Arthurian Britian 'king of the hill' HotT campaign and open gaming and clinic on saturday.
At the clinic will have 'come learn to play' boards set up with dba, db-hx, dbn, hott and hotE. Sounds like nice prizes this year. Nashcon is always an enjoyable event.

A shame it always seems to be held on a "family weekend." Is there a chance it will ever move to another weekend that is not Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July, etc?

Paul,

Any chance you could post some pix of the painted prize army?
