Hi Paul. Looking forward to the Cornwell inspired Arthurians to arrive here in the land of OZ.

Piddling continued. Shuffled some Saxons around into a HERO element, touched up their paint jobs. That gives me a stand-alone DBA Old Saxon army (mostly old Donnington with some SLM) as well as a HotT one with its own Magician & Hero. (I have a Valkure I can throw it when the spirit moves me).

Paul & Terry: can't tell you the amount of fun I've gotten out of this period's armies. Thanks!

Thanks Ammianus. We've had a lot of fun with it too. Paul and I are still planning to play the Battle of Clontarf at our next meetign and I'll be sure to take pictures and reoprt on how Paul's forces fell in thier cowardly flight.

As always these look awesome!

I'm forever in awe of your speed, one of these days when the stars are right I might actually have money when one of these armies finds its way into the bazaar.

Perhaps tonight I'll order a copy of 'Dux Bellorum – Arthurian Wargaming Rules AD367–793' from amazon.
Today I received Simon Macdowall's 'Comitatus' but have not looked at it yet. looks to have a nice selection of photos of painted minis from the period.

I've done a little more painting on these guys tonight. I really like it when an army is nearing completion and starts to look right:
