Can SCh do this?

Hi,
If a SCh is in the ZOC of an enemy element, acording to the rules, it can contact/face up that element or retire directly into his own rear. If in his first movement it has retired directly into his own rear and has left the ZOC, can the SCh use the 2nd movement to contact another enemy unit?

Absolutely, awesome an't it? WB can do it as well...one thing they are good at besides dying.
