Hello,
I have about 80 of these figures. The catalog says 400BC, but I'd like to know the time period I'd be able to use this figure? Would using them for II/31c Hellenistic Spartan be unreasonable? Also, could the figure be used for other city-states.......Connolly's book page 70 states that that helmet was common throughout Greece and Italy. I like some mounted and Aux to support the spear wall. thanks Lee Shackelford |

I have those Minifigs as well, they are the ones in the Pilos helmet correct? These would be suitable for the Peloponnesian war and yes they would be useful for Hellenistic Spartans as well.

Lee, How's Taiwan? The Minifig company simply used the "480BC" as a reference to their many ancient ranges in the 1980s. You can use them for any of the armies and years that used the hard bronze armor (Not the Linen Hellenistic era)Also for the later Bk two pike armies they would be off. Mix as you please, Only the pot helemt applied mainly to spartans. Most cities including the Spartans used a mix of hereditary or affordable headgear.
