Fall In 2010!!!

While not a successful record at 7-6-1 in games played and 1-2 in BBDBA Doubles, Fall In was another success for me. You can talk about venues, accomodations, food and driving time all you want, it is the people that make a con a success or failure. Nobody beats the DBA community in my opinion. I had a blast even though I had to share a room with Larry! How do you do it, Baier?

My personal results were:

Auxilirama - a third place finish with my Patsie Romans.
Midnight Madness - lost the finals to Mike Guth with my Feudal Spanish
BBDBA Doubles - Jan and I finished in the middle of the pack with our Tamil/Hindu armies.
DBA-RRR - I don't know where I wound up but I was surprised and honoered to win a Best Painted Army award for my Low Countries Spanish.
The Gallic Campaign - despite a 2-3 record my Suebi finished 10 out of a field of 20 and I was a minor independent overlord.

Many, many thanks to John and Jason Bostwick, Ruth and Rob Torres and Spencer and Chris Ginder for making my first BBDBA Team event a most enjoyable experience. While still a gruelling event, these teams made it fun. Thank you.

Kudos to all the GMs for running their respective events - Kyle Burley, Larry Chaban and Rich Baier were the GMs for my events. Thank you all.

Last, but certainly not least, another round of applause for the highlight of every convention - Nuns on the Run, err, the Two Davids' Themed Campaign event. 20 rowdy players enjoying themselves in a friendly competition is a sight to behold. Many thanks to David and David for their efforts!!!
