Some minor revisions (3 to be extact) which you can access on the last page:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/20493962/DBA-RRR-Army-Lists-Books-1-3-v-1-12

All of these changes are basically cosmetic and you probably would have been able to deduce.

Tony,

I was looking at the I/9 Maximillian list and I think it needs to be adjusted. The regular Arquebusiers have been left out of the RRR army list. The regular Arquebusiers (Sh or Sk) are 2 - 12 in DBR. That should add 1 element of Arquebusiers to the mandatory section and up to 2 more elements of Arquebusiers to the discretionary section, regardless of the number of Pikemen.

I haven't looked at the other lists with Landsknechts, but they may have the same problem.

Phil makes a distinction between Landsknecht and regular Arquebusiers in that the Landsknecht elements are limited by the number of Landsknecht Pikes, while the regular ones are not. He even goes so far as to try to limit the movement by the Landsknecht Arquebusiers relative to the Landsknecht Pikemen, but it is generally ignored by DBR players.

You are correct. Good catch.

Not quite. It would add 3 Sh Arquebusiers to the optional elements. You need to have 4 elements minimum (rounded down) to qualify as a mandatory element, a minimum of 0-3 need not be included.

Please let me know if you see another discrepancy.

I was guessing at your formula, but you know what I meant.

I will plan for another revision (1.13) including this change (and any others that might appear) in early April.

No pics, Tony (sorry about that), but there were four "Triple-R" (DBA-RRR) games played at a recent NAGS Game Day. Just for grins, here are the line-scores. I/4c Russian Traditional over II/12f German Catholic, 4-3 I/17a Ottoman Turk over I/17a Venetian Colonial, 4-2 II/19b Scots Covenanters over II/22c English Parliamentarians, 4G-1G II/19b Scots Covenanters over II/22c English Parliamentarians, 4-3
We'll get pics next time, including close-ups of the splendid, mini-diorama-esque, C-in-C stands that Eric Donaldson created for his RRR armies. Fun games, especially those that saw that tense interplay of pike & shot flank-support vs. mounted elements. Alas, few of my Eastie armies have much of a pike & shot combo.

One battle of DBA-R3 as part of our normal game night with MADBAG last night. In the unveiling of the 1570 era Vasa Swedes against the Muscovites, my Swedes were trounced 4-1 and the Russians Gulai Gorod was never threatened <camp>. A fun game with two distinctly different armies...I'll blame the swamp that I laid out in the center of my front as my downfall. :sick We'll get pics next time. John S.

It is nice to see people from different areas playing and enjoying RRR.

Well, it would be nice to see them, but no one seems to be taking pictures. ;)

My camera is coming to Recon with me so I should have some pics to post up in 4 weeks.
