I have tried out a number of variants of DBA including the Humberside extension and Messrs Jeppson, June etc. In addition I have looked back through old magazine, downloaded other rules from the internet and even looked through some printed rules (books even).

Using the CCJ rules as a basis I have tried a few experiments at my local club. Some of them worked and some didn't. It occurred to me that other people must have done the same thing and maybe, just maybe, I was re-inventing the wheel. Perhaps through the medium of this forum we could pool the results of such tinkering!

Not being afraid to put my head above the parapet here's a starter for ten ......

E1) Attached musketeers for Swedish TYW cavalry

3 figures to a base - Move 3" (15mm scale) - to stay together Cv must reduce speed - adds +1 in a fight - can interpenetrate Cv - fire at +3 (not 4).

Seemed to work OK but needs more thinking about how they work if the Cv are driven off?

Guess I should put my tin helmet on now .... and maybe that gas mask!

What are the CCJ rules?

Ooops...typo!

CCJ should be JJC - "De Bellis Antiquitatis 2.0 Pike & Shot Extension" v6 Aug 2003 by Robert June, Don Jepperson & Joe Chinnici.
