How it is done?The sides of the table are of different lenght!

You only deploy on the long edges (unless you are a heretic like me and have an option to deploy on a narrow board).

Still use the 600p in from the long edge to mark the deployment area, and still have limits on placing units too close to the side edges (300p). (Doing this from memory.)
