This may well have been addressed elsewhere, but I want to clarify whether you can make a move in DBA 2.1 ftf which is possible under DBAOL regs......
Here's the scenario:
1)AxAxAxPsPsPs
2)..........PsPsPs
.............PsPsPs
Line 1 is two enemy elements (Ax and Ps - but could be anything) in a group facing my 2 elements of Ps in line 2 (one behind the other). I want to avoid being flanked and have Ax 'close the door' on my front Ps but I don't want to line up alongside my front Ps and face a 2-3 combat roll against the Ax....so can I do the following:
1)AxAxAxPsPsPs
2)..........PsPsPs
.........PsPsPs
with the second Ps entering the ZoC of the Ax, but not lining up directly opposite, thus preventing the Ax closing the door on my front Ps??? You can do this in DBAOL, but is it legal under 2.1 rulings....??
