So which periods can you field an army for a campaign. With this poll you can choose more than one so it is possible to tell what periods are most covered.

Chariot/Biblical pre 500BC
Early Classical 500BC to 100AD
Late Classical 101 to 500
Dark Age 501 to 900
Early Medieval 901 to 1250
Late medieval 1251to 1450
Renaissance
Other (e.g. non-european)

Punic Wars and Hundred Years War for me.

Forgot to check 'Other' too, but the big batch o Southeast Asian armies are in progress but a long ways from ready to take the field.

I'm not sure how "Other (e.g. non-european)" is supposed to mesh with the temporal divisions, but I assumed my Carthaginians and Sea People are too close to Europe to count.

Turns out I could check all of them. I have smatterings of armies for each period, with the major groups in the campaign periods I mentioned before:
Peloponnesian War, 1066, and Post Mongol Samurai and Asian

The only one I couldn't tick was the Renaissance period. Though I hope to correct that with a WOTR army :) .

A fair comment on the limitations of my brief entry! For OTHER: I do of course mean locations away from the mainstream: sub-Saharan Africa, regions beyond the middle-east (going eastward as a westerner), the Americas. I should have added something like areas not traditionally of popular interest to western historians, though of course this would give rise to lots of other complaints. I think the enemies of Rome and the regions they were in should all be included!

In keeping with the spirit of the poll I limited my choices to the following: Early Classical 500BC to 100AD, Early Medieval 901 to 1250, Late medieval 1251 to 1450, and Renaissance. I have some obligatory graeco-roman armies for Early Classical, but my focus concerns various periods within the Spanish Reconquista...all the way up to 1492.

I am also looking into variant AWI, Mex-Am War, WBTS and WWII.

Then I ran into "other, non-European" so I had to delete all but one to check that one! LOL! My Samurai cover a lot of periods! LOL! :)

Well, there are a couple of armies that can morph for almost the whole period... Indian is a good one.

I can do them all. I can definitely do the "Other" category. Between the Americas and the Islands...Asian contenent...Whooo Hooo! I am there. Besides if it is not painted yet, I probably have the lead already for it much to my wifes irritation.
