Out of period allies in BBDBA?

I've decided to take the plunge into BBDBA. I wanted to do Rus with Pecheneg and/or Early Bulgar allies (Since I happen to have Rus, Pecheneg and Early Bulgar armies...)

My problem is that the ally list for Rus calls for using Early Bulgar list "a" (III/14a), but this list ends a couple hundred years before the Rus period.

It was my understanding that you had to use lists from the same year as allies. Is this a mistake? Am I missing something?

I assume it is a mistake, but I am not aware of any errata on the list.

I would note, however, that the Rus cannot have both Pecheneg and Early Bulgar allies. The "or" means one or the other in Phil's lists.

Looks like an error for "14c" to me. D'OH!

III/29 Thematic Byzantine lists II/40 Numidian and Early Moorish as an ally.

Thematics are 650AD to 963AD.
Early Moorish is 215BC to 25AD.

It probably should be II/57 Later Moorish 25AD to 696AD.
