I've mucked around with attrition rules, but have had problem with them. After trying out the attrition rules from the resources page, this was my version.
Each element can suffer a number of attrition points equal to the figures on the base. When an element suffers a recoil result, it loses 1 point (mark a fig). If two elements have a tie, both lose 1 point. Each point lost results in a "-1" modifier to CF. If a figure loses all of its points, and then loses one more, it flees like psiloi (600p). It may pass through friendly elements when it flees, but inflicts 1 point on the element passed through!
Elements may regain attrition points. Each bound, if the element has not moved, and is at least 600p from the nearest enemy element, it recovers 1 point. If the General spends PIPs to rally it, it regains all lost points, but, again, must be 600p from the nearest enemy and not move. Note that each element must be rallied seperately, and some situations will require multiple PIPs (Hordes, further than 1200p from Gen, etc).
8Bw suffer one "-1" per two points lost.
El cause 2 points if they flee through another element.
