UK Minifigs in the US ?

Has anyone in the US/Canada ever ordered Minifigs straight from the UK, whether it be from a middleman retailer or directly from Minifigs? Some ranges I'm interested in are only available from the UK catalog, and it isn't clear on the US Minifigs site how these ranges would be obtainable thru the American manufacturer - if it's even easier to do that in the first place.
