Hi all,

Here is a battle report on the second of a pair of climactic battles between the Two Davids and their Evil Arch-Nemeses, Mark P and Jack "The Butcher". The forces of Truth and Light and Blood Sacrifice (the Two Davids) are playing Aztecs with Tlaxcalan ally; the forces of Falsehood and Darkness and worship of Ba'al (Mark and Jack) are playing Later Carthage with Syracusan ally. All images were taken by DS.

Nice write-up guys. The humor really helped to numb the bitterness of that awful defeat. We really got crunched in that one. How did that cake last so long? And what ever became of the poor Carthagian bunny?

Great stuff, the report and the battle manual.

How did the Carthos beat you in the tournament?

Why the reminder to keep camps at least 2" apart?

We lost the Wb vs. Wb fight with our dudes vs. the Gauls. Tragic.

Why the reminder to keep camps at least 2" apart? No more than 2" apart. With bows holding the camps, they can mutually support each other -- if one camp is taken then the second one will get good chances to QK the enemy by shooting it, and so retake the camp with little risk. Against mounted attackers this makes taking the camp nearly impossible.

(Although even if you had received permission, you would find no files there except the ones that are publically accessible -- all the other strategy manuals and other documents not-yet-released are stored elsewhere, not accessible through the web. Behind firewalls. On secure machines. In a secure facility. Underneath a mountain in Colorado.)

I give you my word as a Spaniard.

No good, I've known too many Spaniards.

DS My Gauls charged fearlessly into double overlaps and showed those feather wearing Aztec wussies what bronze and iron weapons can do!

Real Men wear plaid or nothing at all!

Evil laughter ... Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! :D

Actually it came down to ABSOLUTE ATROCIOUS dice by David and AMAZINGLY LUCKY dice by Marty and Bob. Lots of 6-1 rolls went our way!

All I really remember of it was that it was a good fight and we came out the victors.
