The latest issue of the New Yorker has a great cartoon. It features a couple of riders who look like generic cartoon dark age warrriors, horned helmets, etc. They are followed by a balding, pipe-smoking man on horseback in a tweed jacket, wearing glasses.

The caption: Two barbarians and a professor of barbarian studies.
