As a 'slow' player myself (a bound a day is my average), I am not able to partake in a 'fast' tournament as proposed in another thread.
But the concept of time for games has been on my mind too. On the other end of what is proposed however. I have been toying with the idea of allowing players more time (say 6 to 8 weeks) to finish games. BUT, I was thinking that a new game could be started every month anyway. The results would be tallied 2 months late that is all.
Possibly, a player would see a loss after a week of not playing a bound and being noticed of the fact in a thread.
What do you think of the concept ?

There is definitly something to do with the idea of allowing a tournament round to start while not all games are finished. In some way, that is what is done in Ambiorix' civil wars.
Possible for some kind of tournaments only. Not for campaigns, where you need the previous results.

I could play much quicker if I knew what day everyone was going to play. Scheduling a game day much like you would do at your local gaming club may help matters. I know everyone's schedule would not mesh but it would be a good start.

You could also have everyone in the chat channel at the same time to talk trash to each other about the ongoing games!

I remember at Historicon when we had the LAN version going it was a blast because you could just yell at your opponent and laugh at their reaction during the games. We had 12 people going head to head much of the time. It was also tough on the older guys getting beat by 8 and 10yrd olds.

Like a one day Tournament. That might be workable too.
