Jim Dundorf and I played 3 games of I/25a Middle Assyrians vs Hittite Empire a list with the Hd option. Hittite lost all 3 games, once with me playing them, twice with Jim. We played 2 games with II/20 Ptolemaic D vs Classical Indian I won both, the first the El Gen pursued deep into the Bd line while his flanking El got recoiled and I was able to rear contact him with double overlaps and finally kill him. Jim generally liked the 2.2+ rules but he rolled a LOT of 1s for both pips and combat, he might be challanging the Diceman for his title if he keeps it up.

Any more details than this?

Did 2.2+ come up in any places that made the game different than 2.2?

The first three games we played featured a lot of Lt Sp and Rd. I like the Hittites vs Assyrian (and the Hittie vs NKE) matchups better with Lt Sp vs Rd than with regular Sp vs Bd. We saw an overlap shot strip away my overlap and turn a 3-2 in my favor into a 3-3. The new Pk rear support numbers did not seem too bad when my double ranked Pk got stuck into a Hvy chariot. Other than that the move distances worked fine and 30" boards are better than 24. The terrain system worked fine. Saw a lot of rough terrain in arable. It is really nice to be able to put a bit of bad going that doesn't block LOS. We both really like the El pursuit rules, though overall El were a better representation in + than regular 2.2.
