Yeah, I agree - top job mate. Also, love the base work on the Muslim light cavalry on your blog - best desert bases I've seen. Well done. :up

Thanks for the kind words.
My next army (for DBA) will be the Thebans......Ive been saying ill get them painted for about a year.....
Steve
Yorkie - very nicely done! I am using some of those same figures for my Pontic army and you have given me some ideas!
Looks like some of your shields are hand-painted, others transfers. Is this accurate? If so, what transfers are you using?
Can't wait to see the Thebans - they are one of my favorites.

I love how you've got the striking reds and blues in to the army whilst maintaining a strong uniform look between the units, very nice work.

Thanks, some are hand painted but most are Little big man transfers. They are very good, if a little bit fiddly.

I love LBM transfers too, but totally agree, they can be a bit fiddly. Your's look great!

Great armies! It's always fascinating to see what armies colleagues have chosen and how they're painted/arranged/decorated'em. I've learned a lot observing others techniques.

I used army painter strong tone dip. It works great i think, and speeds up painting time no end.:up

Hi Steve
Sorry the reply is a bit late, and thank you for the information, can I ask what LBM shield transfare sheet did you use for the Kappadokians shields Steve as I am doing this DBA army from xyston at the moment, and would like some for mine.
Best Regards.
Adrian.

Hi Adrian,
I hand painted all the Kappadokians shields im afraid...
However, i think the Greek peltast transfers fit the shields, and probably work fine....?
Sorry i couldn't be of more help.
