Hey Guys,
Just wrapped up my Polybian Romans and Later Carthaginians. In the latter case, I am having problems mounting elephants because the trunk sticks out and interferes with frontal contact. The beautiful Jumbos are Corvus Belli, and I am making two stands of 40x40mm each.
If I mount them dead center and forward marching, the trunk hits the rump or front of the figures in front of it (while in column, or attacking, respectively) in such a way that denies stand to stand contact.
If I put one left of center, and one right of center (with skirmisher figures to "balance the look"), I avoid trunk to rump contact in column, but the front edge still has the mean old trunk interfering with contact with an opponent.
If I mount them diagonally, it loses some of the "forward march" look, but doesn't block frontal contact.
Any suggestions? I love the figs, just wondering if there's a better way to give Jumbo the spotlight.
Thanks,
Bryan
