Has anyone tried the campaign in the rules called Optimates v. Populares? It has the following armies: Spanish, Gallic, Marian (Italy)*, Marian (Greece), Mithridatic and Armenian.
It seems like an interesting campaign, but I'm curious as to how one would make the map; it doesn't seem plausible that the Pontics and Armenians have a border, even by sea, with Italy, so the pin-wheel design may not work. Perhaps the central province could be Crete or Sicily. Crete was a hotbed of piracy, so it might work (though it wasn't really in Marian control).
