I was wondering if you could offer some advice on which armies to choose for a two-player campaign in medieval times. We are looking for a classic knight vs light horse campaign but preferably not with too Lh-heavy armies (like mongol conquest for example). Just to give a hint, we are considering lithuanian vs teutonic order. Any ideas? Thanks :)

Teutonics vs. either Poles or Russians match up really well.

Thanks, although we do want an army with more Lh than the polish or russian. The idea is to play battles between typical Lh vs Kn historical armies, like ottoman vs balkan knight armies. Which of those is a good match-up in your experience?

I propose for the medieval period:
- Early Crusader IV/7 (4xKn) vs. Seldjuk III/73b (8-11xLH)
- Komnenan Byzantine IV/1b (4xKn) vs. Seldjuk III/73b (8-11xLH)

or if you don't mind to play the classical era:
- Parthian II/37 (5xKn, 7xLH) vs. Scythian I/43b (8-11xLH)

I have played all of these battles and enjoyed them very much.

my two cents,

Thanks, I really like the idea of crusaders vs seljuks. We have already played a byzantine vs egyptian campaign so perhaps the crusades would be an interesting alternative :)

Parthian vs Scythian is definitely a most interesting scrap although it is overwhelming to think of a battlefield with 15-18 Lh. We would get dizzy :sick
