I've just started painting up a Scots Isles & Highlands army, made up of Feudal Castings miniatures, that I bought from Steve Shaw, the sculptor of the range, about 15 years ago when I gamed at the club he attended.
The list has changed from when I got them but I've ordered enough bits from QRF to make up the current list (as well as future-proofing it for 3.0!!). The miniatures are nice sculpts and paint up really well. To be honest I'm surprised that they've survived something like 8 or 9 house moves in that time.
Does anyone else have a DBA army that's been sitting around unpainted for longer?

I got second hand figs for a Welsh DBA/WRG7 army around 1991 and haven't painted them............
Ou both have me beat. I have mound builders from 2004. Now with the freaky changes of 3.0, I am not sure if I will ever paint them.

I have 25 years old pict & ancient British armies I bought from the minifigs shop here in Southampton in 15mm, and more than enough of their early imperial Romans in 25mm for a dba army, none of which have seen paint yet

Jeff - but surely you're building a mound of unpainted lead. Aren't we all?

Not an army exactly, but I do have a 25mm figure (an old Heritage models Hydra) I bought in 1980 but didn't paint until 2008. It took me 10 minutes to paint it. Sigh.

I have 25 mm Minifig figures for a Ptolemaic Egyptian army from 1973 (I think) that are still unpainted but managed to hang onto after several moves. I started to paint them again and realized I would need 15 mm to play DBA most places and have abandoned them again. Since then, I’ve managed to paint two full armies and am working on three others. The 25’s may never get painted.

Congrats. I just completed three armies primed in 1999 and packed away and forgotten for over a decade. Now my son is old enough to enjoy DBA and I have renewed interest.

I have odds and sods that have followed me around since the 80s and 90s but I had made a good showing of running them down. It was the early 2000s once DBA v2 was published that I really started building up the lead mines of Mt Neverpaint, as this was when I began to make up purpose built DBA Armies.
I have an Ariarathic Kappadokian army from Hall of Ancient Warriors bagged up that might date back as early as 2004.

And Mike's Models (Some of Minifigs the Clibinari, 15A1 date to 1974) and the Mikes to 1980; I really should fininsh a sort of Parthian Army one of these days, did paint eight figures (Two 4Kn) a couple of years ago....
Just last month finished some Strip Minifigs Arab Bow, eight figures for an
"8Bw" for Early Achamenids...
And some Early Indians I bought in my first flush of enthusiasm for DBA, circa 1991. The Infantry was painted, but not the Chariots or Elephants.
They are floating around in various coats of Primer.

Good old Jack Scruby. I have an ancients 9mm army from the very early 1970's that will never see a brush.
Jeff, those 20mm might well now fit in with the Old Glory 18mm ranges, and be in style again.
